Marin Society of Artists
3rd National Exhibition
August 2-30, 2009
The works in this exhibition represent a diversity of styles and media that at once contribute to and participate in international arts trends. I found that the pieces submitted to the exhibition included a broad range of artistic accomplishment - from the representational to the abstract, the traditional to the cutting edge.
It was my intention to try to show the breadth of the artwork submitted when making selections. Fortunately, excellent examples in all media, techniques, and styles were contributed. Selected works were distinguished by a synthesis of original approach, technical realization, and formal achievement reflecting the personal creative vision of the artist.
